Which way to go? Conti’s muna! :)

26 Feb

Day 1:

Congratulations to Jon for getting two job offers! πŸ™‚ He was offered a new job by Stellar and Microsoft (until now, he doesn’t Β know which one to choose) πŸ™‚ I, on the other hand, was offered a new job too, but same thing with me… (I still don’t know which way to go..) confused much? πŸ™‚

Well, we had an unbelievable day at Stellar. The exam was pain in the head… promise! It lasted for like 3 and a half hours, with no breaks in between. We finished and passed the exams (aba dapat lang, kalerki ha!) at around 7:30pm. We were even asked to go back the day after for a final interview. We were so drained and helped ourselves home. We were starving to death so we hit the shawaramahan nook near our place where we had Beef Sisig, Shawarma Rice, Bulalo. Sorry I wasn’t able to take some shots. Imagine how drained I was that day. πŸ™‚

Day 2:

We went back to Stellar the day after. We passed the final interviews and we were given job offers too. But it took us 9 looooong hours again, yes NINE NOT-FUNNY HOURS!!! -.- My back pain killed me, our tummies were starving, and we both lost our patience and sorry but we ended up sharing not-so-good feedbacks with each other.. (sa aming dalawa lang naman…haha!). After the torture, we decided to treat ourselves and had a luscious dinner at Conti’s. After the dinner, we both found ourselves re-charged. We went home and had a much-deserved rest. πŸ™‚

I almost failed the Typing Test.. haha! πŸ™‚ who would’ve thought that a blogger and a freelance web designer like me- who’s used to codes, letters, and all that…almost failed!? hahaha! Just imagine how nervous I was. I type fast but I must admit, I hit accuracy at times. πŸ™‚

What we had at Conti’s?

We had Roast Beef in Mushroom Sauce, Chicken Ballotine, Buffalo Wings for the main course; Β and Mango Bravo for our dessert!

What do I suggest?

their Baked Salmon is a must-try! πŸ™‚ My all-time favorite. I skipped it that night because I wanted to try something else, and I didn’t regret it! πŸ™‚

Their menu offers a lot, and they’re all good! πŸ™‚

BEFORE we touched our table utensils! πŸ™‚

and... AFTER... haha! πŸ™‚

Yummy Buffalo Wings

Our most loved Mango Bravo! πŸ™‚

One Night at Conti's πŸ™‚

19 Feb

kcat, I’m very proud of you.. You never fail to stay positive despite the health challenges that you have. Your kind heart always prevails! πŸ™‚ I’ll be praying for you, your family, and loved ones. πŸ™‚ will reblog this to my blogspot and wordpress πŸ™‚

God bless! πŸ™‚

Reblog starts here.

Neurofibromatosis is a continuing battle, we never know when an aggressive tumor will strike. There are multiple tumors in some parts of my body but mostly are not active, I am always hoping and praying that they will behave and do no harm in me anymore.

March 2010, I had my regular CT scan done. Β  The Β study showed hyperostosis (abnormal thickening of soft tissues) of my right sphenoid bone and lateral orbital wall. November 2010, I started to notice protrusion of my right eye. Last January, I had my eye checked with my Opthalmologist and my Neurosurgeon. A soft mass/tumor(meningiomas) is stimulating the bone to overgrow. According to my neurosurgeon, Dr. Lopez, the cause usually is if you have meningioma, the bone reacts to the tumor by hypertrophy. My recent CT scan study done Feb. 17, 2011 showed increasing hyperostosis that is pushing my right eye to budge out. But still, I thank God, the tumors are relatively unchanged based on the prior study, meaning they are sleeping already, not aggressive and I am really praying hard for them to just sleep well there, don’t ever cause me harm anymore.

To be able to reduce the prostosis of my eye, I need to undergo a head surgery to remove the abnormal bone Β to allow my right eye to fall back. This would cost us a lot. Once again, I need your support. I am not seeking any solicitation or donation using your hard-earned money. I am launching my EYE-CAN fund drive campaign where I will be selling my personalized designs created from my heart. All I am asking is your support to buy my products for me to raise the amount I needed for my surgery.

I am also launching a new shirt design, which was inspired by the kindhearted people who helped us so much in my hEAR Campaign for my Cochlear Implantation in 2007. I believed that as long as we let our hearts see, hear and feel, that everything we mean really comes deep from the heart, we will definitely receive so many blessings from up above and from so many people. Once again,”hEAR me with your hEARt”, I know EYE-CAN

Thank you so much for extending help for my EAR. Please help me with my EYE. With your support , I know Β I (eye) CAN, definitely. My neverending thank you so much! God bless us all!

He Loves ‘Em

17 Feb

Around two or three weeks ago, while Jon was busy watching tv, I got up and prepared breakfast for us. I opened the fridge to look for anything to munch on, and then I saw our Christmas ham- patiently waiting to get cooked and liked. So I got it, let it cool while preparing French toasts and cups of hot chocolate. After 10 minutes, I fried the meat, put some sweet sauce on it, got ’em, tucked them in the French toasts I made beforehand, and pressed them with Home Made (the brand of mayo we use at home)Β mayonnaise.

It was a breakfast-on-bed. Jon, tasted them and he “loved and loves” em! πŸ™‚ From that day on, Jon would always look for them. He even brought their Christmas Ham yesterday so I could make hamonado sandwiches for him. Yesterday, I used Pandesal- Jon brought some too from their Pandesal nook (Pan de Amerikana). They were good! πŸ™‚

8 months and counting

16 Feb

Jon and I don’t celebrate monthly (monthsaries- that’s how some call it). Yes, with our previous relationships we would celebrate it, I mean, everyone had a chance to!

But today, I am very happy that we’re on our 8th month together! πŸ™‚Β We’ve been through a lot of challenges, and at the end of each day, we always see ourselves happy and better persons because of each other.

4 months to go and we’ll have our first year anniversary- something that we’ll definitely celebrate! πŸ™‚

Hun, thanks for everything.. I am happy that I have you ! I know we have many plans and we’ll fulfill them all, and we’re gonna stay together until we get old! πŸ™‚ You amaze me, everyday! πŸ™‚ I love you soooo much! πŸ™‚

65 Bucks or Starbucks?

15 Feb

So who doesn’t know Starbucks now? No one.. right? Most of us already know what to order whenever we hit the counter, we also know for a fact that this coffee shop along with all those big nooks offer expensive hot and cold cups. I love Starbucks, I love Coffee Bean, and I admire Figaro. I’m not a coffee lover but I am definitely a frappe-sucker! Oohhh Green Tea Frappe is love! πŸ™‚

Two weeks ago, I discovered a coffee nook near my place. I checked what their Menu offers and to my surprise, I saw lotsa Frappes, breads, smoothies, pastas, etc for only php65.00/order, the most costly I saw would be around php85.00. So I gave it a shot, and voila they flew me to the moon that night! πŸ™‚ I fell in love with it, with Forza! πŸ™‚

Two weeks ago, I introduced this humble nook to Jon and my twinsister. Jon ordered Carbonara and Choco Marble Frappe; Sam had Chicken Fillet Sandwich and Mocha Frappe; and I just had Choco Marble Frappe- I wanted to see how they’d much on and wait for their comments, that was why I ordered less. And ta-da voila, I did not disappoint them. Jon and Sam fell in love with it too! πŸ™‚

We went back last weekend, Jon had his favorite Carbonara. I tried their Sisig and Strawberries and Cream (they don’t much, I know!); and Sam had Pesto and Black Forest Frappe. I forgot to bring my Digi Cam. Thanks to Jon’s Ip4 though.. πŸ™‚

Affordable and yummy! I love! πŸ™‚
So 65 Bucks or Starbucks? Both definitely! πŸ™‚

for only 65.00! πŸ™‚ for real!
their rice meals are not that yummy compared to their pastas and sandwiches, but not that bad for 65.00
while waiting for our orders πŸ™‚

Christmas party with my favorite people! πŸ™‚

Everyone decided to bring the party on at Jon’s place. It was a bring-a-plate party and everyone almost puked because of too much kabusugan! πŸ™‚

Exchange gifts were made! Guess who I got? No one but Jon πŸ™‚ I bought a Monkey-plastered shirt for him.

Til’ next year! πŸ™‚
